COMMUNION STATEMENT 2023
Communion, with its literary and religious connotations – an unseen mystery of potential, connection and revelation – is an individual creative act of intuition; motivated by uncomplicated geometric imagery, paired opposition – stillness and motion, dark and light, points and corners – sensuous tonal colors and crisp hard edged straight lines. Communion’s interlocking elements drift at varying depths. The shallow sea of sky blue, a primary color, is electrified by lightning rod like bands of more primary colors – red and yellow – all the while its synthesized symphony of color, and its visual and harmonic aesthetics, captures and hypnotizes one’s imagination.
